3/02/06 – Thursday 158,185

A 65.6% increase in total hits/impressions in just less than four months, I feel good.
Corrected credit for National Velvet; I had it listed as International Velvet.
The diamond web awards seem to be down, at least there server side includes part, which is what allows one to vote, so I've removed that from the index page.
Two new films now grace Kate's filmography: Popcorn and Blood on Benefits. Popcorn is a feature to be released in the UK in July, 2006. It's a teen comedy. The other is a short film, directed by one of her co-stars, Andrew Lee Potts from Popcorn. More details to be had on my Other Works page.
Like Minds is to be released sometime this year in the USA.
Flight 29 went down for about a week or so while I was trying to do a minor update and had Dreamweaver misconfigured, amongst other programs. The end result was a reinstall of windows, and now a requirement to use 3rd party software for uploading via ftp. So updates will be fewer and farther between. We also lost membership in a few WebRings, but joined a few more, so it's all good.
Happy birthday in advance.
Gave the axe to the old geocites site. Some of the stuff is still there, but I renamed the index, so by going there you'll either see the parent directory, or some default greeting. Surprisingly, with pretty much no content, that page remained google's number one.
Joined the Always on Time, and Celebrity Fansites toplists, just another vain attempt at getting more attention.
Project Limetime: For those of you still wanting to get a copy of mothertime, try searching on the Gnutella network. You'll need some third party software such as Limewire, Bearshare, Gnucleus, Phex, etc. If you already use such software, I would encourage you to share all of your Kate Maberly oriented files. Just a few words of caution, sharing copyrighted materials is illegal in most countries, be careful of what else you share; the network is crowded with virus plagued files, so scan anything before you open it; some hackers/ automated hacking programs, like to plague users of the network, so be sure you have a firewall if your going to be downloading other files. Don't be discouraged if at first you can't find any files related to Kate Maberly or Mothertime. I try to leave Limewire running whenever I have my computer on and am not playing Civ IV, but still, someone has to have mothertime, be sharing it, and on the network in order for you to download it.

Holy cow! Now over 100,000 hits/impressions! I didn’t expect that number until next year. Now I feel the need to add a coma.
Mailed off another batch of mothertime disks. Interesting enough to mention, the mothers of Zohren Weiss, Megan De Wolf and Rosy De Wolf have asked for copies. Typical of most movie productions not to give out copies to the cast and crew.
Kate does not appeare to have anything whatsoever to do with the Mystery of the Maya, but the Langoliers might… with their mass disappearance anyway.
Finally took the time to figure out how to add the proper background for this document, so no more ugly plain green, now we got the ugly green pattern.
Apart from minor changes, nothing to report.

10/13/05 Thursday 95762

I've changed the extensions on all of these pages to .html from a mix of that and .htm. This is in preparation for moving to a paid server (powweb). May or may not happen, but you may need to update bookmarks accordingly. There may also be a few broken links I haven't found yet, so please drop me a line if you find any.
We are now with a local picture gallery, and hopefully this free server will allow the bandwidth. I get 3GB a month. If not I'll change the link back to geocities. There is more pictures here than there, but all of those can be found in the groups so there really is nothing new. The number of hits is staggering.
In case ya'll thought I was a bit loony to ask for proof, check out myspace.com for your favorite celebrities. Betcha' that if they are famous enough, there will be more than one account listed. To help combat the sheer annoyance of fakers aka posers (not to mention the risk of harm to reputation), some celebrities have teamed up in a few of the Myspace groups to prove they are whom they claim to be, namely by using photographs with sign held up with their Myspace account name. Feel free to add me to your friends list should you deign to sign up. Of the celebrities on my account, I'm convinced that Alyssa Milano, Michelle Trachtenberg, and Leelee Sobieski are the real deal. There's always a chance of me being mistaken (I only say that so you don't blame me if one of these accounts is fraudulent). (if you're feeling lazy and reading this on the group or newsfeed, click here: http://www.kate-maberly.com/Updates.html for hotlinks)
This site is now #5 on a google search for Kate Maberly, probably due in part to the rss feed. The rest is due to the fact that the good people at dmoz updated the link! Soon we will be #1 again, so let me ask you, are you feeling lucky? Punk.
As a part of my apologies to Cynthia, let me take a moment to advertise her Yahoo! group: http://movies.groups.yahoo.com/group/TheLostChildCelebrities/ check it out!
If you're content to watch one of Kate's films only once, and live in the US, you might consider joining Netflix. They have a larger selection than most video stores, and can be cheaper in the long run. For $18.99 a month, I can have three movies out at anytime. I try to watch them the day I get them and mail them out the next day (the postage is prepaid business reply mail, first class) and average 16 rentals a month. When you sign up you can get 2 weeks free, but if you send me an email, I think I can refer you so you get 1 month free. You can choose how many movies you want out at a time, averaging $6 per. As a note, they have her credited in an additional imax film. When I get that one, I'll let you know.

9/16/05 Friday 89473

A request: should Kate herself ever with to post to our Yahoo! Group: That she prove her identity. I hate that this is a necessity, but I have experienced in other message boards people posing as celebrities for attention, and I really don't think we want that here. There are a few good ways she (you) could offer proof: a .wav file uploaded mentioning the screen name, a picture with her holding a sign with the same; join a few of the moderators in a voice chat on Yahoo! Messenger; or get in touch with Brooke Watts, and let him know her (your) sn. Unique pictures and stories could easily come from a neighbor, friend or even family member so those would be inconclusive. (After stating this, just watch, one of her brothers or Polly or some friend will suddenly pipe up and say hi, and since we don't know any of them we are left with taking their word, or not (I guess I shouldn't be giving ideas out like this (Doh!)))
Here's what's new: RSS feed for this site. Now you can get these updates right on your Yahoo! 360 or my Yahoo! page, or anywhere you can reed a rss news feed. The RSS (Really simple syndication) feed is merely and edited cut n' paste of this here update page. You'll need to come here or to the group for the full update. Feed url: http://www.Kate-Maberly.com/rss.xml. That's what that XML sign next to the updates button on the directory assistance table is.
I've signed up as an affiliate to sell satellite tv systems, so if your interested in getting satellite tv, you can help support Flight 29 at the same time. Two to choose from: http://www.allsat.com/?kbid=8374 for Dish Network, and for DirecTV: http://www.isatellite.com/?kbid=2327. Banner links found on the links page along with a universal search button for Amazon.com. Anything you buy new from Amazon through that search, will also help support this site, and from there you can search for anything in their inventory.

8/28/08 Sunday 85926

Haven't done too much lately, namely because I moved and have been on dialup, and therefore not in a Kate or internet frame of mind. Didn't know the search function wasn't
working until my brother pointed it out. Few other stray changes, some text, some formatting.
New movie announced: Like Minds. This one was filmed in Australia, and may or may not make it over here. I'm sure it will be on DVD eventually. Mr. Nobody has hinted that Kate much
more screen time than in Finding Neverland, however all she'd have to do for that would be in a commercial. He's also stated that she's said to look rather attractive (read: sexy). She
 plays Susan Mueller.
There was also a new radio play, The Shoemaker's Daughter.

Obviously, several huge changes have taken place. We've moved to http://www.Kate-Maberly.com, which will be our new permanent address. For now, we are on a free server, hence the banner ads at the top of each page. If you see any stray code on the site at the top, that's their fault.
With the change from Geocities to here, I lost the page counter as that was based on their java script. So now we have a new one, that counts faster, possibly because it's on every page.
